Dr. Ingrid Oakley-Girvan, PhD, MPH, SVP of Research, Value and Strategy at Medable and the Founder and Director of the Data and Technology Proving Ground at the Public Health Institute.
Dr. Oakley-Girvan received her Ph.D. from Stanford University School of Medicine, her M.P.H. from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine and her B.S. from the University of Michigan. She is affiliated with the Stanford Cancer Institute and the Canary Center at Stanford for Cancer Early Detection, has served in the United States Peace Corps in Africa, worked as SVP of Research, Academics and Strategy at Medable for a number of years and is now Medable’s SVP of Value and Strategy as well as the Executive Director of the Medable Institute.
Key accomplishments include clinical trials and research work in mobile and digital technology, particularly in oncology, device utilization, and behavioral health interventions. She has documented disparities in breast and prostate cancer in addition to investigating biomarkers – both digital and lab bench based for breast, prostate and ovarian cancer. A hallmark of her work is combining multi-disciplinary studies and technology with academic-business partnerships to more rapidly advance a direct-to-patient approach for impactful work that improves population and individual health. She has a global perspective having lived in Europe and other countries and is committed to the health and wellbeing of the population and sustainability of our planet.
