Anobel Odisho, MD MPH, is an Associate Professor of Urology at the University of California, San Francisco and a clinical informaticist at the UCSF Center for Digital Health Innovation (CDHI). He completed his medical training and urologic surgery residency at UCSF and a Society of Urologic Oncology fellowship at the University of Washington before joining the UCSF faculty in 2017. His research focuses on clinical informatics and the development, implementation, and evaluation of digital health programs that extend telehealth into asynchronous, automated patient care. He has developed an EHR-integrated clinical trial screening platform for urologic oncology patients and oversees the development of the Urologic Outcomes Data Warehouse at UCSF. At CDHI, he leads the Virtual Care Programs for the Digital Patient Experience program. He has launched virtual care programs for patients undergoing prostate biopsy, lung transplant patient home spirometry remote monitoring, automated IBD symptom assessment, and a COVID symptom self-triage tool. He has also published on recent trends in telehealth utilization and the impacts on health equity.
