Beam Connectivity – Pioneers in better connected vehicles

At Beam Connectivity, our ambition is to build best-in-class connected vehicle systems. We support our customers to focus on the value of their connected vehicle data while we take care of the underlying connection. Founded in January 2020 to improve connected vehicle systems. We believe that today’s connected vehicle systems do no perform well enough. They have low connection robustness, high latency, and poor user experience. The supply chain is fragmented, and the industry incumbents have not navigated well the shift to systems delivery with multiple interfacing software and IT systems. Without an overall systems engineering approach, connectivity performance is degraded and users get frustrated. Our vision is to address these issues with an end-to-end system with best-in-class performance. Our core offering is our Connected Vehicle as a Service (CVaaS), a high performance and versatile platform with all the components required to stand-up a connected vehicle system. For cybersecurity, we are leading two Innovate UK grant funded projects to improve the cyber resilience of connected vehicle systems, we have deep expertise in this area, a key focus for vehicle industries.

• AutoCHERI project: improving cyber resilience of TCUs using CHERI, a new chip architecture with inherent memory protections.
• SecureTCU: TCU with cyber security software stack being developed in accordance with ISO21434.
